David A. Barcus
Chief Executive Officer
David Barcus has over 25 years of project finance, leveraged finance, high-yield, and asset recovery experience. He has raised capital across the right side of the balance sheet for sponsor-owned, public, and private companies. Prior to forming BCB Equity Partners with Rob Bolandian and Howard Chernin, David worked at a number of world-class institutions, including Bear Starns, BNP Paribas, BBVA, and Raymond James. At each of these firms, David’s focus has been on middle market transactions, and he has helped debut issuers access public and private debt and equity markets.
David also spent time at MTN Capital Partners, a long-established independent sponsor firm. At BCB, David is the primary transaction partner and is responsible for the firm’s strategy and direction.
David holds a BS in engineering science with a concentration in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University and holds an MBA in finance from the Stern School at NYU. He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 securities licenses and has completed the New York Institute of Finance’s risk management coursework.
